Mark Lucas

Mark Lucas is the Chief Financial Officer of Zoos Victoria, where he oversees financial strategy and performance to support the organisation’s mission in wildlife conservation and strengthening the connection between people and wildlife. 

With a Bachelor of Commerce (Accountancy) and as a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, Mark has extensive experience in financial management, strategic planning, and corporate governance. Throughout his career, he has held senior leadership positions in major Australian organisations, including Myer, Elders IXL Limited, and RACV. His expertise spans financial stewardship, risk management, and commercial operations in both corporate and not-for-profit sectors. 

Beyond his executive roles, Mark is passionate about mentoring the next generation of finance professionals. He actively contributes as a mentor at the University of Melbourne’s Faculty of Business and Economics, where he supports emerging leaders in business, finance, and accounting.
