We are seeking input on its plans to reimagine the southern section of Torquay Family Caravan Park to make it more accessible for everyone.

Community input is being sought on the plans to deliver five new cabins and an accessible boardwalk along the southern edge of the Torquay Foreshore Caravan Park.

The project aims to deliver five cabins in total, three cabins catering to families and larger groups, and two all-abilities cabins to increase access to the coast for people with mobility challenges or those living with a disability and their support networks.

The caravan park currently offers a variety of cabins, camping and glamping options alongside Torquay Back Beach and Spring Creek.

The proposed location of the new cabins will be near the existing glamping pods and dunes area from sites 26 – 40.

Go to the project page to Have Your Say on the new cabin precinct before Friday 28 February.

Please view and download the landscape plan and share your thoughts so we can deliver a quality visitor experience while minimising impacts on the local community and environment, including considering factors like how the cabins integrate into the landscape and features you’d like to see in the space.

The new cabins and boardwalk are due to be constructed later this year, with bookings available ahead of summer.
