Pooch perfect: Anglesea Family Caravan Park up for national award

Anglesea Family Caravan Park has been nominated for Australia’s Best Pet-Friendly Caravan Park in the annual Jayco Greatest Escapes awards.

Jayco shortlists Australia’s premier caravan and camping destinations each year to encourage more Aussies to get out and enjoy the great outdoors.

After reviewing thousands of entries, Jayco has nominated the Anglesea Family Caravan Park, which is run by the Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority, for recognition as Australia’s Best Pet-Friendly Caravan Park.

The Shire of Esperance in Western Australia won the Best Pet Friendly award last year.

Dogs are welcome at the Anglesea Family Caravan Park seasonally in allocated dog-friendly cabins and dog-friendly campsites.

Guests staying at Anglesea can take their pooch for off-lead walks on the beach west of Point Roadknight or at the Anglesea Recreation Reserve. Guests can check out the dog restrictions listed in the Surf Coast Shire Dog Regulations and the Authority’s policy on dogs at its caravan parks.
