The Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority is seeking public input on its plan to enter new lease arrangements with a tourist park in Peterborough.

The lease would allow the Great Ocean Road Tourist Park to continue operating a caravan park at the key Peterborough tourist site for up to 21 years.

The lease would provide access to three land parcels covering all land currently utilised by the incumbent tenant.

It would cover all land parcels currently used by the operator and simplify the lease process.

It may also include commitments to maintain and improve the facilities, including:

• Enhancing the visitor experience in Peterborough

• Providing stability for a trusted operator

• Ensuring continued visitor accommodation and supporting the local economy.

The lease would be managed under the Crown Land (Reserves) Act 1978.

Public input on the proposal is welcomed via our website until Friday 28 February 2025.

Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority Director Community, Corporate Affairs and Visitor Economy - Andy Mathers said:

“This is a key business in Peterborough so we want to hear feedback from locals and visitors.

"This park is a popular destination for guests wanting to explore the attractions of the Shipwreck Coast

“We plan to work with the operator to ensure it keeps maintaining and improving the park, which is vital to the Peterborough community.”
