We are enhancing beach accessibility with the introduction of free hire beach mobility equipment in Apollo Bay.

A range of accessible equipment—including hoists, beach wheelchairs, beach walkers, and beach matting—is now available, ensuring people of all abilities can enjoy the coastline from Torquay to Port Campbell.

Currently, mobility equipment and facilities can be accessed at Fishermans Beach in Torquay, Anglesea Riverbank, Point Roadknight, Lorne Beach, Apollo Bay, and Port Campbell.

Apollo Bay’s offering has expanded with the addition of a beach wheelchair and beach walker, available through a new self-service booking system. This equipment will be located near the existing beach matting, further improving access and inclusion along the coast.

We have also launched an upgraded online booking system, introduced at the beginning of summer, making it even easier to reserve equipment.
