Temporary closure to sections of the Surf Coast Walk

Parks Victoria will be temporarily closing sections of the Great Otway National Park, including closure to sections of the Surf Coast Walk.

The Surf Coast Walk will be closed between 4.30pm and 4:30am from Sunday 18th June through to Friday 23rd June 2023.

Parks Victoria is undertaking a strategic deer control program in the National Park, initially focussing on the Ironbark Basin, Eumeralla and Anglesea Heath areas.

Drones may be used for reconnaissance of visitor areas during this time.

If you live adjacent to Great Otway National Park and deer are having a negative impact on the values of your property, you can apply to Parks Victoria to include your property in the upcoming control program.
